🏆 Competingteams format

Off the Pitch. Still Competing.
- Split into competing teams — same clock, different rooms, real results. Who wins off the field too?
- Reveals leadership under pressure — who steps up when the plan falls apart? Useful information for any coach.
- Communication skills that transfer — the best teams we see work exactly like the best sports teams. Coincidence? Probably not.
- Up to 50 players at once — even the biggest squad fits across our two Dublin locations.

----- Brian, GAA Club Captain, Dublin -----

Our GAA club does this every pre-season and it's become a genuine tradition. The competition between teams is brilliant, the craic afterwards is even better, and honestly some of the best performers in the escape room are people you wouldn't expect. Reveals a lot.
Pre-season tradition now. Brilliant competition, brilliant craic. Reveals a lot about the squad.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is an escape room good for sports team bonding?Genuinely excellent — and for reasons that go beyond just being a fun outing. Sports teams already understand communication, trust, and performing under pressure. An escape room puts those same skills into a completely different context, which is surprisingly revealing. You'll see who leads when it's not their usual role, who spots things others miss, and how your team adapts when the playbook doesn't apply. It's team bonding with actual substance.
- Can a full sports team fit in one experience? For squad sizes above 10, we run multiple rooms simultaneously — which is actually better. Split into two or three teams, each racing the same clock in different rooms, then compare results at the end. This keeps group sizes small enough for real collaboration (4–8 per team is ideal) while giving the whole squad a shared event and a result to argue about afterwards. We can accommodate up to 50 people across our two Dublin locations.
- Do you offer a team vs team competition format? That's the default format for sports groups with us. Multiple teams, same start time, different rooms — your game master tracks hints used, puzzles solved, and final escape time for each team. At the end we do a full reveal with rankings. For competitive groups this is genuinely exciting, and the bragging rights last for the whole season. Get in touch at info@incognitoescaperoom.ie to arrange the format for your squad size.
- Which rooms are best for competitive groups?Orphanage is the most intense and generates the most stories — highly recommended if your group handles pressure well. Cabin in the Woods at 10 players is ideal for your largest sub-group. Baker Street Mystery rewards lateral thinking over brute force, which is a great leveller if some players don't usually get to lead. For a more relaxed but still engaging option, Prohibition is brilliantly designed and very satisfying to complete.
- Can we get a group rate for a sports team? For larger groups (typically 20+ players) we're happy to discuss group pricing. Get in touch at info@incognitoescaperoom.ie or call +353 89 254 2005 with your squad size and preferred date and we'll work out the best arrangement. Weekday slots tend to be more flexible on pricing than Friday/Saturday evenings. We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before, so you can book ahead without locking in exact numbers immediately.
