• Is an escape room a good idea for a first date?

  One of the best, honestly. A restaurant puts all the pressure on conversation — an escape room gives you something to do together, a problem to solve, and a genuine shared experience within the first hour. You'll learn more about someone in 60 minutes of an escape room than three dinner dates. It's also a natural icebreaker: you have to communicate, collaborate, and laugh — and if the chemistry is there, it'll be obvious. If it's not, at least you tried to escape something together.
• Which room would you recommend for a first date?

  Baker Street Mystery is our top pick for first dates — it's witty, beautifully designed, and the Sherlock Holmes theme gives you plenty to talk about. The puzzles reward clever thinking over physical ability, so there's a natural collaborative dynamic. Prohibition is also brilliant — gorgeous 1920s speakeasy setting, fun puzzles, and a romantic atmosphere without any scary elements. If you both like horror, Orphanage is a legendary first date story waiting to happen.
• What if one of us isn't great at puzzles?

  That's completely fine — and more common than you'd think. Our rooms are designed for 2–8 players, but as a pair you get an intense, focused experience where even one person noticing a detail can unlock the next puzzle. Our game masters are watching throughout and will offer hints if you're stuck, so nobody ends up frustrated or embarrassed. The goal is always to have fun, not to demonstrate puzzle credentials. Most people who "aren't puzzle people" discover they're better than they thought.
• How long does the whole first date experience take?

  Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours from arrival to finish — a quick check-in and briefing, 60 minutes in the room (75 minutes for Bunker), and then some time to debrief and chat after. It's a perfect first date length: long enough to actually get to know someone, short enough that you can always extend to drinks or food nearby if it's going well. Both our Dublin locations are close to plenty of bars and restaurants.
• What should we wear or bring for a first date escape room?

  Just come as you are — no special equipment or clothing required. Comfortable, smart-casual clothes work perfectly. You don't need to bring anything except yourself (and maybe a jacket if it's cold — Dublin, you know). No need to dress up or down. One tip: if either of you wears perfume or aftershave, go light — the rooms are enclosed and atmospheric, so you'll both appreciate not being overwhelmed. Other than that, just show up ready to have fun.
