The Family Activity Everyone Asks to Do Again
- Works for every age — kids spot the clues adults miss. Adults solve the locks. Everyone has a role.
- No scary rooms required — King's Quest, Prohibition, and Baker Street are completely horror-free.
- Private room, your family only — no strangers to embarrass yourself in front of. Just you lot.
- Something to talk about for months — escape room stories outlast every cinema trip, meal out, or theme park visit.

----- Máire, Dublin -----

Brought our three kids (10, 13, 16) to King's Quest and it was the best family outing we've had in years. The youngest spotted the crucial clue and would not let any of us forget it. Absolutely brilliant.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the minimum age for children at Incognito? We recommend ages 10 and up for most rooms, though younger children can join with parental supervision and a suitable room choice. King's Quest is our most family-friendly room — a fantasy adventure with no scary elements that kids from around age 8 upwards can fully enjoy. Prohibition is also great for mixed-age groups. We'd advise against Orphanage and Cabin in the Woods for younger children due to the horror themes and low lighting.
- Which rooms are best for families with children?King's Quest is the number one pick for families — a fantasy quest to save the seven kingdoms, brilliant puzzles, and absolutely no scary elements. Prohibition (1920s speakeasy theme) is colourful, fun, and works brilliantly for mixed-age groups. Baker Street Mystery is also family-friendly and great for kids who love detective stories. All three are at our Bridgefoot Street location, making it easy to combine with a family day out in Dublin 8.
- Is there a family discount? We keep our pricing simple and fair — from €32 per adult and lower rates for children (under 15s). Rather than a fixed family bundle, we price per person so you only pay for who's playing. For the exact current pricing for your group size, check the booking page or get in touch at info@incognitoescaperoom.ie. We also run seasonal promotions, so it's worth checking before you book.
- Can adults and children play together in the same room?Absolutely — that's the whole point of a family escape room experience. Everyone is playing the same game with the same clues, and kids often spot things that adults miss entirely. Our game masters are brilliant with mixed-age groups and calibrate hints appropriately. The rooms are designed so that both kids and adults feel genuinely involved — no one is just watching.
- What if some family members don't want the scary rooms? No problem at all — you choose the room at booking, and we have plenty of non-scary options. King's Quest and Baker Street Mystery are both completely horror-free. If your family is split between those who want a scare and those who don't, you could always book two rooms simultaneously — the brave ones in Orphanage, the others in King's Quest — and compare notes afterwards. It makes for a brilliant family story either way.
